PEWTER AND JADE
As pewter clouds rolled lividly and thunder echoed loud and clear
The heavens unleashed tridents of lightning and cascaded pelting downpour
Critters and birds hastily scattered away to hide
Charcoaled grey and misty was the landscape outside
Cold and chilling was the blustering wind
To our respite, toasty sunshine was muted and thinned
The trees swayed and the leaves rejoiced
Against the quartz empyrean were these glossy emerald and jade green convoys
Rippling on the streets were puddles and streams
My spirits soared as I listened to the singing breeze
Diamonds and pearls of raindrops waltzed on my frosted window
To usher in the majestic display of a shimmering rainbow.
