#Day 16 #SoulCraftPoetry_NaPoWriMo 2022 #Pickle "Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers..." Was the first tongue twister which drove me to uncontrollable laughter When grandma had narrated it and showered with me tickles And said you must master it no matter! Summer afternoons were spent chopping lemons and mangos raw At times cabbages and carrots for a cool dip coleslaw I'm in a pickle, I'm in a soup she taught me to say "These were just idioms" she told a scared wide-eyed me "and not literally, anyday!" Jars and bottles were filled with love Chunky pieces to savour when cold monsoons showered rain from above Tangy, spicy, sweet and zesty A myriad of flavours exploded on the palate oh! So tasty! I crave for your homemade creation Fervently trying to follow your recipe instruction I realized the blend was not in the preparation But, It was your love poured into it with utmost devotion!
