UNDER A SPELL
With stardust in her eyes and midnight in her hair
The longest winter in the valleys couldn't numb her debonair
Battling frigid snow or an autumn breeze
She trudged through rattling wind and the crackling trees
Held together by fragments and shards flimsily
Flawed by cracks and splinters hopelessly
Enduring gusting hurricanes and roads treacherous
One twinkling light gave her hope, painting her dreams with all the colors
As steadfast as the Oak with roots delving deep into the earth
And the Alps impaling the clouds, she knew her worth
She tells her stories to the moon and the shooting stars
To the butterflies, the honeybees and all the flowers
Her unrealised chimera are like a candle flame making her heart sigh
An incessant sparkling obsession–a pie in the sky!
Some secrets are to be held close, not to flaunt
It's stashed away in a hidden cache of a coded vault
Sculpting marble and carving on her heart
She keeps her daydreams alive like an etched craft
Winter chills and hibernation renewed into a mellow gold summer
She danced like lightning when her success roared like deafening thunder.
