GOOD DAY, GOOD TIME!
Friendships, picnic baskets, pet parrots, pet dogs, mystery, secrets and adventures
I'd read them all and at one point of time even longed to go to school at St. Clare's or Malory Towers
Snubbing anyone who told me that these were fictional places.
Such was my devotion to Enid Blyton, the goddess of children's story books read by people of all ages!
Over my school going years I'd collected a few, and read almost all from the local library
It was a marvellous world of fantasy of magic, fairies, animals who could talk and wizardry!
Time itself rewinds back to my own childhood when I thought that everything was 'Sunshine and Roses'.
I would read them anytime when I needed another world to escape into, from the harsh reality of this one; it was my vital potion in big and small doses
The books would stay put in my bookshelf forever.
So excessive was my fondness for Enid Blyton stories that ended in happily ever after!
I pull out a 'Wishing Chair Collection' hop onto it and go on an imaginary joy ride with a pixie called Chinky
Or up a Faraway Tree or to meet the Magic Folk, to farms with ducklings quacky and lambs frolicky!
Written in all simplicity, I get lost in the world where nothing can ever go wrong.
I can live on a farm, on a treetop, in the cabins, in the mountains, in a castle or a clou with a swish of a wand
I can create whatever I want to.
Rainbows, sunrays, moonbeams, candies, cookies,... Happy endings for me and you!
My bookshelves burst at their seams with this cornucopia
It's my Blytonia Utopia!
