There's a blush of autumn in my heart
A thousand wreaths of laurel sprigs adorn a forgotten vault
A dancing flame as golden as the swaying corn
Blooms into a euphoric ruby-red heartbeat, as wild as a poppy born
I paint the skies with the deepest cornflower blue
And swan shaped puffed clouds of the radiant citrine hue
The gloaming canopy is a mix of nectar and honey
When moonbeams kiss the ocean rolling in a rapturous melody
The pallor on cheeks thrums and glows
Stolen glances with you are like frozen winter rose
The sunbeams danced in rhythm to my heartbeat
The moon dazzled among waltzing stars on a sequined carpet
The tide in my heart throbbed and rode
On the swell of the dizzying storm quite hallowed
In the drifting snows or sun-drenched summers
You're my heartbeat forever and forever.
