Frayed tassels of chambray thresh in the wind
Burrowing in veils of forsaken glades
The mists engulf her, a curse upon the naiveté
Drumming thunder and thudding hooves
Mingled with retracing screeches of the chariot wheels
Heavy as water, grief cascades on her
Swept away by the currents of churning disaster
Gravel and sand swirled with ferocity
Ripping foolhardy hearts with bayonets
Prodding the dark blue to serenade her once more
Last drop from her oasis taken, her ocean to restore
The clouds are dizzy humming a ditty
Orion bleeds tears for the faithful beauty
Flaxen verses sing her name
Whilst hayfields are buried under drifting snow
Splintered love is now in an icicle cage
Daring everyone with a Medusa gaze…
