Twinkling eyes met demure ones
On a February noon shimmering in melting snow
Tulips and violins serenaded me
On the brink of rapture and ecstasy,
You became my poetic galaxy sequinned and studded with idyllic verses
In a mantle of euphoric utopia I traversed
Out of this world our love belongs,
Until death do us part we'd vowed
Thanking my lucky stars I always began my day
Oceans and seas I could cross to be with you anywhere
Frangible hearts pulsing as you gave me a bouquet of lilies
Prized our love was under eventide skies,
Everlasting the romance is meant to be
Made in heaven it was said to be
Orchestra was a crescendo as we waltzed and champagne flutes clinked
Of diamonds and amethysts were our wedding rings
In gardens of orchids and dainty violet
Nightingales sang us madrigals dulcet
Under skies of the burgeoning opaline rose
Fairytales were retold until dawn limbered in, in streaks of primrose
Benevolent were your eyes when you looked at me
Sweeping me off my feet with your charm and chivalry
Could you be with me till all eternity
Clusters of stars above are my testimony
I LOVE YOU TO THE MOON AND BACK
I profess whilst blending into holy matrimony
